BanXcard
Where can I purchase a card:

BanXcard Maestro Card uniquely combines the functionality of a prepaid card and a telephone card. The cards have international acceptance as a prepaid card and can be used for withdrawals and purchases via the Maestro® and Cirrus® networks. Additionally, the cards can be used to place extremely low priced telephone calls. The cards are issued by BankFirst.

BanXcard Maestro Card is designed for individuals without bank accounts, who can avoid high check cashing fees by going to a BanXcard Maestro Card retailer to have their cash or payroll check proceeds loaded on the card. The cardholder can then, without delay, use the prepaid card feature to purchase goods wherever Maestro cards are accepted, go to a nearby ATM and obtain needed cash wherever the brands found on the card are displayed, or make phone calls at very low rates. The balance of the cardholder's funds is safely stored and available for future withdrawals.

BanXcard Maestro Card is available at grocery and convenience stores, retail merchants, check cashers, and other locations (search for locations above). The merchant can easily load the card with money by using a swipe terminal or using their existing PC. With the BanXcard Maestro Card, the user can then purchase goods at any merchant who accepts Maestro cards.

Employers can use BanXcard Maestro Cards to pay their unbanked employees, thus saving on the costs of manually paying each of these employees. This cost to employers is most often upwards of two dollars per payroll period per employee.
